It began with a van full of kittens.
For more than three years, my family has worked alongside foster-based animal rescue organizations, helping transport cats and kittens from overcrowded shelters and communities in South Florida to loving homes throughout New England.
Those journeys changed us.
But they also showed us something unexpected.
Rescue runs on compassion... and paperwork.
Behind every rescued animal is an incredible network of volunteers.
They coordinate fosters.
Medical care.
Adoptions.
Transportation.
Fundraising.
Bookkeeping.
Grant reporting.
Most of them do it with spreadsheets, handwritten notes, and endless determination.
The people saving animals often spend as much time managing paperwork as they do saving lives.
That didn't feel right.
A different kind of rescue
I'm not a veterinarian.
I'm not a shelter director.
I'm a systems person.
For years, I've built operational systems for global companies. During our rescue work, I realized those same skills could help animal rescue organizations become stronger, more organized, and ultimately save more lives.
That idea became We Rescue Them™.
What is We Rescue Them?
We Rescue Them is an ambitious project being developed through my New Hampshire company, We Them Group, LLC.
Its goal is to create an all-in-one operational platform designed specifically for foster-based animal rescue organizations.
Instead of juggling dozens of disconnected tools, rescue organizations will be able to manage:
- Animal records
- Foster homes
- Adoptions
- Medical histories
- Transportation
- Grant applications
- Bookkeeping
- Reporting
- Volunteers
- Operations
...all from one connected system.
Every hour rescued from paperwork is another hour that can be spent rescuing animals.
